Failing to do enough coats or applying too many can affect how the polish cures. If the gel polish fails to cure correctly your manicure won’t last more than a few days before it starts to lift and chip. Not what we want.

The perfect number of coats of Candy Coat Gel Polish is *drum roll please* - TWO. Before you start your manicure make sure you shake the bottle vigorously before each application and once you’re nails are prepared get ready to follow this handy format:
- Apply one layer of your CANDY COAT Base Coat.
- Cure under your CANDY COAT PRO LAMP for 30-60 seconds.
- Apply your first coat of your CANDY COAT Classic Gel Polish.
- Cure for 30-60 seconds.
- Apply your second thin coat of your gel polish.
- Cure for 30-60 seconds.
- Apply a layer of CANDY COAT Top Coat.
- Cure for 30-60 seconds and you’re done!
Always make sure to use thin coats, cleanse, a dab of our candy scented cuticle glaze and you are good to go!
